Ya know, we can have fun here, but roughly half the country will have to suck it up and trust that the people made the right choice when this is over and done.

    November 2, 2004 - 01:57 PM on November 2nd, 2004

Ellis, I would agree with you…. but If Kohn wins, I’m going to find it very difficult to suck it up and work with people who obviously hate America, and everything it stands for.

I refuse to bow down to liberalism!

I will never recognize John”Lurch” Kerry as my commander and chief along with his little John Grisham wannabe John “pantene pro V” Edwards!

    NEVER!!!!!!!

You all know I’m just playin with you. I’m in a strangly euphoric mood today, I don’t know why.

  16. Snatch
    November 2, 2004 - 01:59 PM on November 2nd, 2004

But Lurch won’t win so we won’t have to worry about any of that:razz:

  17. mike kilo
    November 2, 2004 - 02:00 PM on November 2nd, 2004

Snatch.. one consolaion of “Lurch” Kohn winning would be the paralyzed getting out of their wheelchairs and walking again, so that sounds pretty good.

  18. mike kilo
    November 2, 2004 - 02:02 PM on November 2nd, 2004

ANd “hair boy” Edwards has channelled the unborn before… maybe he can psychically communicate with Ted Kennedy’s murder victims????

damn..maybe a Kohn victory would be a good thing.

Yeah, and the gas prices are going to go back down to .99 cents a gal when Kohn-Spock-Lurch gets elected…..

I think that the French and the Russians will also embrace America and march hand in hand with us against terrorism while spreading freedom and democracy worldwide……..

And fuzzy little monkeys will come flying from heaven playing ukelele’s while dropping hot naked woman everywhere.

Damn, everthing looks great on PAPER in the Liberal world, doesn’t it?

I told you he was great!! Don’t believe me? Just ask him! He’ll probably regail you with tales of his heroic 4 month tour in Nam, filming battle reinactments.

  23. Snatch
    November 2, 2004 - 02:24 PM on November 2nd, 2004

    Good work Marqi!!!!

see how that works, liberals???? ONe responsible person registers, becomes informed, gets himself/herself to the polls and casts a vote.

That’s not how it works on the left…on the left, the illiterate have their registrations filled out for them…buses come around the ghetto with chicken, crack and malt liquor to entice them into getting to the polls.

    I love this!

    November 2, 2004 - 06:36 PM on November 2nd, 2004

For what was to be record breaking turnout, it appears it has the numbers jumped at best from 52% in 2000 to 58% this year:sad:
6% is nothing to sneeze at, but I guess I expected a real jump!

  40. peejz

Dangerous? I think I’ll survive. It’s not like I’m pulling these results out of my panties ;)

As I said - as the calls change, so shall the map, Sabor.

  48. Sabor
    November 2, 2004 - 08:17 PM on November 2nd, 2004

But, in Celsius 41.11 they asserted that Bush lost 1000s of votes because the major networks announced Gore was the winner in FL and proceeded to think that their vote didn’t count.

    Think about that

    shiloh, Sabor;

What is more important? That every registered voter who wants to vote does vote, or that your man wins? I know that you are joking, but you still sound like jerks to me with your last comments.

  58. Sabor
    November 2, 2004 - 08:55 PM on November 2nd, 2004

I only said that because it happened to me. Some guys was riding my a** and then went to pass me and got in front of me and slammed on his brakes. I had to swerve to avoid hitting him. I fish tailed and nearly crashed.

did nothing to him. The only thing I can think of is that he had a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker and I had a Kerry/Edwards. This guy was clearly trying to tell me something. what, I don’t know.

  59. peejz
    November 2, 2004 - 08:57 PM on November 2nd, 2004

I had 3 first time voters ask me if I voted! They were so cute! Taking their mom’s so they wouldn’t screw up!
Every vote does count. But Zelda, forgive me for saying this, but I really don’t want it to be down to 500 votes:eek: I want it decisive one way or the other.

    Now pass the pipe:wink:

  60. peejz

I don’t want things to be that close either! However, I’m not going to stick my head in the sand and ignore reality. It IS too close to call. People are still in line waiting to vote in Ohio for Peat’s sake.

If you want some of my crack pipe, you’re going to have to come over to my place and get it.

    November 2, 2004 - 09:24 PM on November 2nd, 2004

    Lisa, history teaches patience.

    DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN

This headline made news in the 1948 presidential election and is one of the most notorious gaffes in publication history. With vote returns coming in slowly, the Chicago Daily Tribune staff based their headline on early returns and “felt” Dewey would win over Truman. As more returns poured in, panicked staffers soon realized their blunder and with trucks and station wagons set out to retrieve the papers. Though thousands were recovered, many remained in the hands of baffled readers the next morning.
Sometimes, it’s the unintended blooper that winds up as an embarrassing headline in print. The writers may not realize their innocently intended words were creating a major faux pas.
