This will be great - - I used to do something like this when I was in elementary school - - well except it wasn’t over the Internet and instead involved colored pencils
November 2, 2004 - 01:26 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Allright Lisa, what a fun filled activity for us to partake in…..I only wish our liberal friends like Shiloh and DG and lets not forget SandyB and Alias could be here to enjoy this with us.
Ah to hell with them.
Grab the RED crayons people

November 2, 2004 - 01:28 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Oh, Lisa, you might as well color TEXAS RED right now. Kerry’s not going anywhere down here. I garuntee that.
November 2, 2004 - 01:29 PM on November 2nd, 2004
My red colored pencil is sharpened and ready to go, Snatch - - we still have several hours before coloring can begin - - but I foresee a red map
November 2, 2004 - 01:34 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Snatch… it’s KOHN… use his real family name.
November 2, 2004 - 01:35 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Stay within the lines now! LOL. Who says your liberal friends may not be here? Watching folks eat crow (one of us will) is always fun .
November 2, 2004 - 01:40 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I am at work wearing my Bush/Cheney t-shirt, and I even am wearing my red undies
November 2, 2004 - 01:42 PM on November 2nd, 2004
good job K!
I’m putting the over/under on Kohn states at 12..any betters?
November 2, 2004 - 01:43 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I don’t want to place any bets…too scary. We’ll be drinking the red wine tonight as they down their blue Kool-Aid!
November 2, 2004 - 01:49 PM on November 2nd, 2004
K-8- thata way to show off your Republican pride, Girl. Give them a hike for all of your liberal co-workers to see……..:lol::lol:
Just kidding……
But you can do it if you really want to.
November 2, 2004 - 01:51 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Ya know, we can have fun here, but roughly half the country will have to suck it up and trust that the people made the right choice when this is over and done.
November 2, 2004 - 01:53 PM on November 2nd, 2004
12 - You are right Ellis, but I have a lot of nervous energy today.
Snatch - hee hee. I would like to clarify that they are red on purpose, by the way
ops:
November 2, 2004 - 01:57 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Ellis, I would agree with you…. but If Kohn wins, I’m going to find it very difficult to suck it up and work with people who obviously hate America, and everything it stands for.
November 2, 2004 - 01:58 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I refuse to bow down to liberalism!
I will never recognize John”Lurch” Kerry as my commander and chief along with his little John Grisham wannabe John “pantene pro V” Edwards!
NEVER!!!!!!!
You all know I’m just playin with you. I’m in a strangly euphoric mood today, I don’t know why.
November 2, 2004 - 01:59 PM on November 2nd, 2004
But Lurch won’t win so we won’t have to worry about any of that:razz:
November 2, 2004 - 02:00 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Snatch.. one consolaion of “Lurch” Kohn winning would be the paralyzed getting out of their wheelchairs and walking again, so that sounds pretty good.
November 2, 2004 - 02:02 PM on November 2nd, 2004
ANd “hair boy” Edwards has channelled the unborn before… maybe he can psychically communicate with Ted Kennedy’s murder victims????
damn..maybe a Kohn victory would be a good thing.
November 2, 2004 - 02:02 PM on November 2nd, 2004
ANd “hair boy” Edwards has channelled the unborn before… maybe he can psychically communicate with Ted Kennedy’s murder victims????
damn..maybe a Kohn victory would be a good thing.
November 2, 2004 - 02:06 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Yeah, and the gas prices are going to go back down to .99 cents a gal when Kohn-Spock-Lurch gets elected…..
I think that the French and the Russians will also embrace America and march hand in hand with us against terrorism while spreading freedom and democracy worldwide……..
And fuzzy little monkeys will come flying from heaven playing ukelele’s while dropping hot naked woman everywhere.
Damn, everthing looks great on PAPER in the Liberal world, doesn’t it?
November 2, 2004 - 02:07 PM on November 2nd, 2004
But the games aren’t played on paper.
The DNC is a Bust
November 2, 2004 - 02:18 PM on November 2nd, 2004
LOL @ snatch….
nice…. Free Healthcare for EVERYONE!!! 8 months off a year for “Flex time”! Bread for 10cents a loaf, the global eradication of paralysis, aids, racism, hunger…just vote for Kohn!!!!!!
I told you he was great!! Don’t believe me? Just ask him! He’ll probably regail you with tales of his heroic 4 month tour in Nam, filming battle reinactments.
November 2, 2004 - 02:24 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Hopefully while filming those reinactments Kerry can avoid getting shrapnel in his ass this time.
November 2, 2004 - 02:50 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Didn’t he throw those medals over the white house fence in protest? Or were they ribbons? Medal-shaped ribbons? Ribbons based on medals? Someone else’s ribbons? Does it depend on the meaning of the word, “Medal”???
November 2, 2004 - 02:53 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I’ve done my part to change the great blue state of Washington a warmer, welcoming RED!! Aheh.
November 2, 2004 - 02:57 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Medals……Ribbons……
Ah, they’re “interchangable.”
How many did Kerry toss over the fence?
“Uh…6…7…8…maybe nine”
November 2, 2004 - 02:59 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Right on margi, way to represent to those west coast liberals.
November 2, 2004 - 03:10 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Good work Marqi!!!!
see how that works, liberals???? ONe responsible person registers, becomes informed, gets himself/herself to the polls and casts a vote.
That’s not how it works on the left…on the left, the illiterate have their registrations filled out for them…buses come around the ghetto with chicken, crack and malt liquor to entice them into getting to the polls.
November 2, 2004 - 03:11 PM on November 2nd, 2004
..where they then vote for who their Democratic party slave masters tell them to vote for.
November 2, 2004 - 03:16 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Kilo-:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Now that’s f-ckin funny.
Hey! That guy’s using his fake voter registration card as a makeshift crack pipe.
Oh well…….
November 2, 2004 - 03:44 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Gotta grab the kid from school and intimidate some voters while I’m at it.
I’ll talk to you crazy kids soon………
Later.
November 2, 2004 - 03:49 PM on November 2nd, 2004
go disenfranchise some poor voters, snatch.
November 2, 2004 - 03:54 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I just realized. I don’t even own a pen that writes in blue. Just Red and Black. Yeah! Guess I’ll have to color the whole map in Red. Crying shame, ain’t it?
November 2, 2004 - 03:59 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Yeah! 2 more votes for GW! We just finished voting here in Ca. I know wishful thinking here in the “blue” state, but it’s 2 less votes for Kerry!
November 2, 2004 - 04:03 PM on November 2nd, 2004
34- nice work! your vote does matter, one way or another…bush needs the credibility of the popular vote!
November 2, 2004 - 04:37 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Actually- only 50% of the population of this conty will vot, therefore only a 1/4 will be upset when Bush Takes the election.
I love this!
November 2, 2004 - 06:24 PM on November 2nd, 2004
35. “bush needs the credibility of the popular vote”
Why? THe popular vote didn’t seem to slow him down the last 4 years.
November 2, 2004 - 06:25 PM on November 2nd, 2004
36. And it’s sad that so few folks are voting.
November 2, 2004 - 06:36 PM on November 2nd, 2004
For what was to be record breaking turnout, it appears it has the numbers jumped at best from 52% in 2000 to 58% this year:sad:
6% is nothing to sneeze at, but I guess I expected a real jump!
November 2, 2004 - 06:38 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Does anyone have a guess as to what time we can expect some results?
November 2, 2004 - 06:41 PM on November 2nd, 2004
East Coast closes first at 7pm or 8pm EST - depending on the districts.
November 2, 2004 - 06:49 PM on November 2nd, 2004
41. Some are at 7:30, Lisa, and I think NY is 9:00 (not positive).
November 2, 2004 - 07:46 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Aren’t there only like 5% of precincts reporting?
November 2, 2004 - 07:48 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I color them as they are called - should they change, I’ll color accordingly
November 2, 2004 - 08:10 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Thanks LISA:smile::smile::smile:
November 2, 2004 - 08:11 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I thought it was dangerous to call a winner early.
November 2, 2004 - 08:14 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Dangerous? I think I’ll survive. It’s not like I’m pulling these results out of my panties
As I said - as the calls change, so shall the map, Sabor.
November 2, 2004 - 08:17 PM on November 2nd, 2004
But, in Celsius 41.11 they asserted that Bush lost 1000s of votes because the major networks announced Gore was the winner in FL and proceeded to think that their vote didn’t count.
Think about that
November 2, 2004 - 08:17 PM on November 2nd, 2004
shiloh news service reports….anyone care?
November 2, 2004 - 08:28 PM on November 2nd, 2004
i spent the day driving disabled vet to the polls.
just took Kerry voters. the others i left by the roadside. i’m sure they’ll be ok/
altho - it is getting a bit cold out there.
November 2, 2004 - 08:37 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I spent the day driving around the city, running people with Bush bumper stickers off of the road.
November 2, 2004 - 08:42 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Okay, too close to call.
I’m going to go hit my crack pipe soon. This thing is no where near over.
November 2, 2004 - 08:45 PM on November 2nd, 2004
i don’t know how it happened, but snatch met me at my polling place, slapped me & ran away.
don’t worry. i only cried a little.
November 2, 2004 - 08:46 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Hold the horses: Don’t count NJ to Kerry YET- have you checked it out? Its almost 50/50…Bush may win NJ.:!:
November 2, 2004 - 08:47 PM on November 2nd, 2004
loved the “mission accomplished’ pic in the forum box.
November 2, 2004 - 08:48 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Raven - if NJ flips - so shall our map!
November 2, 2004 - 08:48 PM on November 2nd, 2004
shiloh, Sabor;
What is more important? That every registered voter who wants to vote does vote, or that your man wins? I know that you are joking, but you still sound like jerks to me with your last comments.
November 2, 2004 - 08:55 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I only said that because it happened to me. Some guys was riding my a** and then went to pass me and got in front of me and slammed on his brakes. I had to swerve to avoid hitting him. I fish tailed and nearly crashed.
did nothing to him. The only thing I can think of is that he had a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker and I had a Kerry/Edwards. This guy was clearly trying to tell me something. what, I don’t know.
November 2, 2004 - 08:57 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I had 3 first time voters ask me if I voted! They were so cute! Taking their mom’s so they wouldn’t screw up!
Every vote does count. But Zelda, forgive me for saying this, but I really don’t want it to be down to 500 votes:eek: I want it decisive one way or the other.
Now pass the pipe:wink:
November 2, 2004 - 08:58 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Sabor- sorry it happened to you. I am glad that you didn’t crash!
November 2, 2004 - 09:00 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Thanks, peejz
November 2, 2004 - 09:03 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Okay Sabor, ignore me; I’m sensitive because of the election.
November 2, 2004 - 09:07 PM on November 2nd, 2004
peejz;
I don’t want things to be that close either! However, I’m not going to stick my head in the sand and ignore reality. It IS too close to call. People are still in line waiting to vote in Ohio for Peat’s sake.
If you want some of my crack pipe, you’re going to have to come over to my place and get it.
November 2, 2004 - 09:07 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Zelda, after living the years i’ve lived, i’m convinced you’re right. i am a jerk.
my sense of humor, as my life, is somewhat on an angle.
if somebody has to hit the road, i’m guessin’ it’s up to me.
November 2, 2004 - 09:08 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Okay, I’m off to my crack pipe, but let me be the first to say it.
I have no idea who will win!
November 2, 2004 - 09:10 PM on November 2nd, 2004
:lol::lol:Too funny!
I figured that was the case in Ohio… but lets let those eligible by law, get their vote in.
It is way too early!
Has anyone been watching the Daschle race? Now that is a squeaker…
November 2, 2004 - 09:18 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Ok - I’m going nuts. Anyone else?
November 2, 2004 - 09:24 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Lisa, history teaches patience.
DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN
This headline made news in the 1948 presidential election and is one of the most notorious gaffes in publication history. With vote returns coming in slowly, the Chicago Daily Tribune staff based their headline on early returns and “felt” Dewey would win over Truman. As more returns poured in, panicked staffers soon realized their blunder and with trucks and station wagons set out to retrieve the papers. Though thousands were recovered, many remained in the hands of baffled readers the next morning.
Sometimes, it’s the unintended blooper that winds up as an embarrassing headline in print. The writers may not realize their innocently intended words were creating a major faux pas.
oops
November 2, 2004 - 09:26 PM on November 2nd, 2004
i just may have a breakdown before this is over..

November 2, 2004 - 10:02 PM on November 2nd, 2004

November 2, 2004 - 10:35 PM on November 2nd, 2004

November 2, 2004 - 10:38 PM on November 2nd, 2004
wow…. this is nuts… it really is true that the unemployed dems voted early today!!!!
November 2, 2004 - 10:43 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Sheesh in my little state of New Hampshire they still haven’t been able to make a call. Its dead even-which surprises me. I was just downtown and drove past the GOP headquarters and saw many people in there-probably doing what we’re doing: Sweating it out. I’m beginning to have real confidence that Bush might win.
November 2, 2004 - 10:48 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Don’t say anything too soon raven!!!
November 2, 2004 - 11:11 PM on November 2nd, 2004

I think he’s got Florida.
November 2, 2004 - 11:16 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Shiloh- RE: 55

November 2, 2004 - 11:35 PM on November 2nd, 2004

November 2, 2004 - 11:37 PM on November 2nd, 2004
we get fla and oh, col, NM, Nev, and 1 out of mi, wi, mn or ia…..we are fine.
November 2, 2004 - 11:40 PM on November 2nd, 2004
As of now, Bush is up 52% to Kerry’s 47% with 96% of the vote tallied in Florida. Sounds good.
November 2, 2004 - 11:41 PM on November 2nd, 2004
CNN just reported that a “source” inside the Kohn campaign is conceding Fla!
November 2, 2004 - 11:41 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Ohio-
Bush 52%
Kerry 48%
62 percent of the votes are tallied.
November 2, 2004 - 11:41 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Judy Woodruffe looks like she wants to cry!!!!
November 2, 2004 - 11:42 PM on November 2nd, 2004
I think Wolf Blitzer, Dan Rather and Peter Jennings are going to hang themselves with their shoelaces.
November 2, 2004 - 11:42 PM on November 2nd, 2004
They shall be conceding Ohio before long, my dear friend Kilo.
By the way, I’m glad to see you survived your forray to the polls.
November 2, 2004 - 11:43 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Yeah, Snatch..I was a first hand witness to voter fraud, too..and reported it to the D.A.
November 2, 2004 - 11:44 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Juan Williams is hangin’ on by a thread right now.
November 2, 2004 - 11:45 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Good lookin out for your country Mike. Can you go into details about it or were you sworn to secrecy?
November 2, 2004 - 11:46 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Yeah, you can tell Brit Hume likes to take Juan behind the scenes during commercial breaks and slap his Kerry Kool aid drinking ass around.
November 2, 2004 - 11:47 PM on November 2nd, 2004
Yeah, I saw a democratic poll worker actually cast a vote…….. no wonder Kohn carried PA
