Well, fine folks of Right Voices - here we are. The very day before elections. . . is everyone else every bit as nervous as I am, going into this week? 
I believe that President Bush is going to win his bid for re-election - I believe that with every fiber of my being. I don’t even entertain the idea of a Kerry Presidency - however, if that should be the outcome of this election . . then the people have spoken. Wrongly, in my opinion - but spoken, nonetheless. It’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?
President George W. Bush has had a very difficult term, these past four years. He has faced it with all of the strength and fortitude that I could have ever expected from a leader of this country. I have watched in awe, his comittment, strength, courage and resolve. In the face of some of the harshest opposition this country has ever seen, President George W. Bush has stood with his feet firmly planted exactly where they need to be.
President Bush showed us his humanity and heart on September 11, 2001 - and the days that followed. He carries with him the badge of a fallen officer from that day, to remind him of this country’s loss - and of the enemy who intends, each day, to do us harm.
I have not forgotten, Mr. President. And I thank you, with all that I am.
With your every action, your very presence - you have shown us that you have not forgotten either. Your fight is not over, however your progress has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for helping make this country a safer place to live. Thank you for taking the lives of myself, my friends, my family and the citizens of this country - both here and abroad, in to consideration with your actions in this horrible fight against terrorism.
The fight will extend beyond your watch - that much, we know is true. However, I will not forget where this struggle began and who laid the groundwork for its success. No one is expecting you to solve the problem wholly, but, rather, to put in place the policies and the strategy that will further help ensure our safety. Thank you for your strength and your resolve - - you are the right leader, at the right time, at the right place in our history.
As we step into this week of elections, we are reminded of election year 2000. We are steeling ourselves in preparation for the circus that will follow Tuesday’s vote. Decision 2000 set so many a precedence that caused this country’s people to question the process more than this nation ever has before. The polls, pollsters, pundits and spin masters tell us over and over that this race is in a dead heat. That we are facing an election that is closer than any in our history - and we don’t have to think too far back to remember.
I believe this country is behind our current President - and I think that will show as the results get tallied this week. We may not know the outcome this week, or next, or next - as the lawyers do their thing .. but one thing is for defnite in my mind - - President George W. Bush is the right President of this time in our history.
Win or lose this election year - nothing and no one will cast a dark shadow over what George W. Bush has meant to this country, to it’s people, and to myself. Should I be wrong, and the elections swing in favor of his opponent, I will always and forever yearn for a different outcome.
However, nothing will change my overwhelming gratitude that I feel, wholeheartedly, towards the man that I am deeply and profoundly proud to call my President, the Commander in Chief, George W. Bush.
Get out there and vote this week - - remind everyone you know to do the same.
For those who agree, let’s show our ongoing gratidude to the President of our United States and show him the people remember, believe and are behind him.
I am thankful for every morning when President Bush wakes up every single day determined to keep us safe.
Thank you, Mr. President.

One Bush campaign TV ad had a man say “I saw what I wanted to see,” then had a girl say she felt safe because President Bush hugged her. If President Bush wins a second term, it will be the massive propoganda campaign of fear by his campaign.
If Gore won in 2000 and was inept enough to let 9/11/01 happen, you people would have tried to impeach him. How are you going to impeach President Kerry? Support our country, I have.

Thanks for giving me another reason not to ever get behind Kerry . . if you are any indication of the intellect of his ‘followers’
By the way - perhaps Bush would have had a decent running start at the transition and development of his cabinet if Gore would have conceded like a man.

post 7 notwithstanding, i will say this:
should the president lose, Republicans with a typewriter will run to them to write the tell-all books saying, “Well , i told them this was a bad idea and blah blah blah…”, and there will be a viscious cycyle of recrimination and reexamination.
only a couple of noted (elected) Republicans have
spoken in opposition during this term, as ooposed to the members of the administation who, i hear, either agree or are unemployed.
hackery know no political party.

i have a bad feeling bush will lose, mostly it’s all the negative vibes from the radio and other sites and the ECvote site and such..also i always die a million deaths before big events (super bowls, world series elections).

in my humble opinion, the president of France, that evil bastard, is smiling secretly at the election of George Bush, & for what he thinks is a good reason.
for a long time, he has worked for a united Europe, a Europe that together, would be much stronger & able to counter American policies that they disagree with, where in their current state, their power is limited by their divisions.

look at it this way. (If you don’t mind, that is.) It’s true that people on my side of the divide want to live in a society where women are free to choose abortion and where gay relationships have full civil equality with straight ones. And you want to live in a society where the opposite is true. These are some of those conflicting values everyone is talking about. But at least my values — as deplorable as I’m sure they are — don’t involve any direct imposition on you. We don’t want to force you to have an abortion or to marry someone of the same gender, whereas you do want to close out those possibilities for us. Which is more arrogant?
We on my side of the great divide don’t, for the most part, believe that our values are direct orders from God. We don’t claim that they are immutable and beyond argument. We are, if anything, crippled by reason and open-mindedness, by a desire to persuade rather than insist. Which philosophy is more elitist? Which is more contemptuous of people who disagree?
As many conservative voices have noted, American society suffers from a cult of grievance. To put it crudely, everyone wants some of what blacks got from the civil rights movement: sympathy, publicity, occasional preferred treatment and a general ability to put everybody else on the defensive. No doubt liberals are responsible for this deplorable situation, and I apologize. Again and again. As a softheaded liberal, I even like the idea that our competitive culture has a built-in consolation prize.
But be fair! (A liberal whine, I know. Sorry.) Don’t assert the prerogatives of victory and then claim the compensations of defeat as well. You can’t oppress us and simultaneously complain that we are oppressing you.
Well of course you can do this, if you want. Who’s to stop you? I just kinda wish you wouldn’t. If you don’t mind my asking. Thanks. Sorry.
